Man, 56, charged following Crewe firearms incident

A man has been charged after firearms officers were deployed to an incident in Crewe South.
At around 4pm on Monday 6 October, Cheshire Police were called to reports of a man, possibly in possession of a weapon, at an address on Nantwich Road.
Officers attended and two men were arrested at the address.
Following questioning, Thomas Duffy, of Stalbridge Road, Crewe, has since been charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

The 56-year-old has since been remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday 5 November.
A 44-year-old man from Crewe was also arrested and has since been released on bail, pending enquiries.
