Man, 29, faces 'failing to stop and 'death by dangerous driving' charges over Crewe van collision

A MAN has appeared in court to face charges over the collision in Crewe which resulted in the death of Joshua Spender .

William Bratton, 29, of Riverside Drive, Market Drayton appeared at South Cheshire Magistrate's Court today (Tuesday) charged with a series of motoring offences, including causing death by dangerous driving.

Bratton also faces charges of aggravated vehicle taking, causing a death by driving while uninsured, causing death by driving while disqualified, being the driver of a vehicle which failed to stop after a road accident, being the driver of a vehicle involved in a road accident and failing to report the accident and obstructing a constable in the execution of duty.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on December 7.
