A man has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of Class B drugs in Crewe, after police uncovered a cannabis farm in the town.

On Thursday 12 December, Cheshire Police carried out a warrant at an address on Edleston Road.

At 8.15am, acting on information provided by the public, officers entered the property, arresting a 21-year-old man.

Cheshire Police removed 96 plants, believed to be cannabis, as well as growing equipment before securing the property (Cheshire Police).

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 8.15am on Thursday 12 December, police carried out a warrant at an address on Edleston Road.

"A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of Class B drugs,

"Officers remained at the scene to remove plants and equipment and secure the property.
