Major roads in Crewe closed every night until Saturday morning

Major roads in Crewe are closed every night until Saturday morning, allowing Cheshire East Highways to carry out maintenance works.

Nantwich Road/Crewe Road, between Bedford Street and Brookland Avenue, is closed between 7pm and 6am until Saturday 19 October.

The new road marking works began from 7pm on Monday 14 October, with the 1.4 mile stretch of highway being done.

Vehicular access is being maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible (Jonathan White).

Pedestrian access is being maintained at all times. Cyclists are required to dismount in order for access to be maintained.

Local residents have witnessed new road markings in place on the stretches of road.

Dviversion routes are via Nantwich Road, Gresty Road, A500 Shavington Bypass and Rope Lane.

The new road marking works began from 7pm on Monday 14 October, with the 1.4 mile stretch of highway being done (Jonathan White).
