A section of a major road in Crewe East is now closed until the weekend, allowing emergency gas repair works to take place.

Broad Street, between Hazel Grove and North Street Roundabout, closed on Monday 17 February.

It is expected to reopen again on Saturday 21 February, following works from Cadent Gas.

The alternative route will be via North Street Roundabout, North Street, Bradfield Road, Underwood Lane, Mclaren Street and Broad Street.

Cadent Gas are carrying out emergency maintenance works on Broad Street (Google).

Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times.

Cyclists will be required to dismount in order for access to be maintained.

Vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.
