Major Crewe town centre road closes for three days

A major road in Crewe town centre has closed for three days, allowing Scottish Power utility repair and maintenance works to take place.

Prince Albert Street closed in both directions on Monday 17 March.

It is expected the Crewe Central road will reopen by the end of Wednesday 19 March.

It is expcted Prince Albert Street will reopen by the end of Wednesday 19 March (Ryan Parker).

The official diversion route is via: Earle Street, Earle Street Roundabout, Vernon Way, Vernon Way Roundabout, Oak Street Roundabout, Edleston Road, Market Street and Chester Street.

Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times.

Cyclists will be required to dismount in order for access to be maintained.

Vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.
