Major bus operator confirms timetables for bus routes affecting Crewe passengers

A major bus operator has confirmed its timetables for several bus routes affecting Crewe passengers - following the imminent end of Arriva services.
D&G Bus announced it will be stepping in to run additional services in Crewe and wider across Cheshire from Sunday 23 April.
It has registered replacement services to cover the 31 Northwich to Winsford to Crewe, 37 Northwich to Winsford to Sandbach to Crewe and 84 Crewe to Nantwich/Chester.
D&G says it already provides a service on the 38 Crewe to Macclesfield route - with timetables released on Monday 13 March.

12 Leighton Hospital - Crewe - Brookhouse - Shavington
Buses will run every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday, and additional early morning journeys will be introduced.
All buses will operate via Cliffe Road, Underwood Lane and West Street between Coppenhall and Crewe Bus Station. North Street and Broad Street will be served by route 31.
D&G are currently in discussions with Cheshire East Council regarding the operation of Monday to Friday evening journeys for this route.

31 Crewe - Leighton Hospital - Winsford - Northwich
Buses will run every hour Monday to Saturday.
All buses will operate via Swanlow Drive, Darnhall School Lane, Glebe Green Drive, Durham Drive, Dover Drive, Mount Pleasant Drive, Denbigh Drive and Beeston Drive in Glebe Green.
Buses will also operate via North Street and Broad Street between Coppenhall and Crewe.
Cliffe Road, Underwood Lane and West Street will be served by route 12.

37 Crewe - Sandbach - Middlewich - Winsford - Northwich
Buses will run every hour Monday to Saturday.
All buses will operate via Crook Lane and Bradbury Road in Wharton.
Buses on route 37 will no longer operate via Jack Lane in Moulton, which will continue to be served by route 31.

38 Crewe - Sandbach - Congleton - Macclesfield
Buses will run every hour Monday to Saturday.
Existing Arriva and D&G Bus journeys will be replaced by the new timetable.
D&G is currently in discussions with Cheshire East Council regarding the operation of Monday to Saturday evening journeys on this route.

84 Crewe - Nantwich - Chester
Information on this D&G route will be confirmed soon.
Stagecoach also announced it is stepping in to provide hourly buses from Crewe to Chester (via Nantwich).
The change over will take place from Monday 24 April - with buses running from Stagecoach's Chester depot.
There will be an hourly Monday to Saturday service between Crewe and Chester with 'some additional weekly journeys' between Crewe and Nantwich.

Commercial Director at D&G Bus, David Brookes, is hopeful D&G can fill the void of Arriva's services.
He told Nub News: "We'd like to reassure people we intend to step in and cover as much of the Arriva network as we can.
"We've registered replacement services to cover the 31, 37 and 84, and we already provide a service on the 38.
"There are some services we haven't registered but we will be speaking to local council officers to see what else we can do to help.
"We can't guarantee we can cover all the Arriva routes but we'll make every effort to keep local buses moving in the area."
Arriva will end its bus services in Crewe and across Cheshire on Saturday 22 April.
