Major British fashion retailer to remain in Crewe town centre unit

A major British fashion retailer will be remaining inside its current Crewe town centre unit - despite previously announcing it would be closing down.

Select Fashion, Earle Street, has taken down its closing down signs after they were placed in shop windows this February.

Smaller signs were also placed in the shop windows saying it will be relocating to another unit in Crewe.

On Thursday 15 June, a Select worker confirmed to Nub News the shop would be remaining open (Ryan Parker).

This town centre closure will no longer be happening - with Select committing to Earle Street.

On Thursday 15 June, a Select worker confirmed to Nub News the shop would be remaining open - with no plans to relocate or permanently close in the town.

Select Fashion relocated from Market Street to the former Ethel Austin unit on Earle Street in 2015.

As of 2023, Select Fashion operates over 135 stores across the UK. It is currently owned by Turkish entrepreneur, Cafer Mahiroğlu.

The clothing chain was founded in the early 1980s - with its head office now in Edmonton, North London.

It has products including clothing, accessories and footwear - with various options for children.

Select Fashion relocated from Market Street to the former Ethel Austin unit on Earle Street in 2015 (Ryan Parker).

Select Fashion is open 9:00am to 5:30pm (Monday to Saturday) and 12pm to 4pm (Sunday).

Crewe Nub News has contacted Select Fashion for comment on remaining in the town centre.
