ARE you looking for a job in the motor trade in the Crewe area?

Then a role with the Swansway Group could offer you a great opportunity to get your career firmly into gear with a firm that believes in investing in its workforce, while at the same time maintaining a strong commitment to the local community.

Among the vacancies currently on offer with the motor group in Crewe are roles for a vehicle sales technician, a valeter, a paint sprayer, sales executives, a lead data analyst and a call centre agent.

You can check them out here or you could upload a CV into the Swansway 'Talent Pool' here so that you can be at the front of the queue when new opportunities arise.

Swansway is a growing regional motor group with 23 sites in the North West and the Midlands, but it is proud to be headquartered here in Crewe. Nearly a third of all its staff (343) are based here.

As well as the recent expansion of the non-franchise Motor Match brand, Swansway has become one of only 56 CUPRA dealerships in the country. It is a great place to be if you are starting off in the world of work.

There's plenty of opportunity to progress your career. Take Nathan Paragreen as an example.

Nathan joined the Parts Depot when he was 17 and moved on to work in the Parts Department at Swansway Jaguar Crewe when it opened four years ago.

Recently he decided he was ready for a new challenge and was rewarded for his hard work with a place on the company's Fast Track Sales Executive Programme.

Nathan said: "It's fantastic to have this opportunity as I already know all the team and really enjoyed working with everyone.

"I already know all the incredible vehicles and this is a really great new way for me to interact with more customers and these lovely cars."

To help you get your foot on the career ladder, like Nathan, Swansway apprenticeship programmes offer a great all-round training experience.

There are currently nine young people working on them in Crewe, while the company is seeking more apprentices across the region.

The great on-the-job training will set you up for a working life and there are apprenticeship roles in sales, for technicians and accounts.

You may be staying a while as Swansway has superb retention rates of staff. Nearly five per cent of the workforce have been with the company for the entire 18 years of its existence.

A long-service board takes pride of place in the corridors of Swansway's head office at Gateway.

While a lunch was held last month at Rookery Hall in Nantwich to mark the long-service of more than 60 employees.

Staff with five years' service were presented with silver pins, while those who have clocked up 10 years received gold awards, and for those celebrating 15 years there was a diamond pin.

Over 100 pins were handed out to Swansway team members, including staff at Crewe Audi, Crewe SEAT and Crewe Volkswagen as well as the head office, accident repair centre and fleet departments.

Swansway's values are about caring, being honest and showing pride, all of which relate to how people are treated and feel.

And that is not only those who work for the group, but the wider community in South Cheshire, who benefit from a range of fundraising initiatives undertaken by members of staff, campaigns and several sponsorship deals.

The firm commits to making a £100 donation of support to every employee who carries out any activity for a registered charity.

Such as employees like Neil Tinsley, who cycled from London to Brighton to raise cash for the Alzheimer's Society, and Group Finance and Insurance Development Manager Jade Whittaker, who took part in Tough Mudder to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The firm's Christmas campaign, the Swansway Santa Patrol, will be throwing its weight behind the Wishing Well Project based at Jubilee House in Crewe.

While seasonal activity packs are being prepared for the children's wards at Leighton Hospital.

Swansway has also got behind local sports clubs with a number of sponsorship deals.

Sandbach Rugby Club are sponsored by Swansway Jaguar Crewe and Crewe Audi and Sandbach United FC are getting backing from Swansway Jaguar Crewe.

While the Swansway Group as a whole sponsors Northern Premier League Nantwich Town.
