Local village Post Office to temporarily close for almost three weeks

A village Post Office on the outskirts of Crewe is set to temporarily close for extensive building works - creating a 'modern' and 'improved' store.

Betley Post Office, Main Road, will be temporarily closed for extensive building work being undertaken by the premises' new owner.

The Betley branch will temporarily close on Saturday 13 May at 5pm.

Betley Post Office is due to re-open on Thursday 1 June at 8am (Google).

This work is expected to take just over two weeks with the branch due to re-open on Thursday 1 June at 8am.

  • Audley Post Office, 76-78 Church Street, Audley, Stoke-on-Trent, ST7 8DA
  • Halmer End Post Office, High Street, Halmer End, Stoke-on-Trent, ST7 8BJ
  • Wells Green Post Office, Rope Lane, Crewe, CW2 6RD
  • Wybunbury Post Office, Main Road, Wybunbury, CW5 7LY

Post Office provision lead, Karl Haddon, told Nub News: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work. 

Work on the Betley Post Office branch will take just under three weeks to complete (Google).

"The safety of our customers is of paramount, therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it will be necessary for the service to close temporarily.

"Afterwards the community will benefit from a modern, improved store."
