Local man charged with 'failing to provide specimen' after Audi seen 'driving erratically'

A local man has charged with "failing to provide specimen" for drink driving, after an Audi A4 was seen "driving erratically" in South Cheshire.

On Wednesday 20 September, Cheshire Police noticed an Audi being driven suspiciously on Old Newcastle Road, Willaston.

At around 4pm, officers performed a traffic stop on the vehicle, with the driver appearing to be under the influence of alcohol - smelling of intoxicants.

Alan Turner-Naylor, 42, from Willaston, is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 16 October (Nub News).

Alan Turner-Naylor, 42, from Willaston was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

The local man is set to appear Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 16 October.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 4pm on Wednesday 20 September, officers noticed an Audi A4 driving erratically on old Newcastle Road, Willaston. 

"Officers performed a traffic stop and the male driver smelt of intoxicants, and appeared to be under the influence. 

When pulled over by Cheshire Police, Mr Turner-Naylor appeared to be under the influence of alcohol - smelling of intoxicants (Cheshire Police).

"Alan Turner-Naylor, 42, from Willaston, was arrested and charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

"He will appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 16 October."
