Local man charged with drink driving after crashing into parked vehicle

A local man has been charged with drink driving and will appear at Crewe court, after crashing his vehicle into a parked vehicle by his home address.

At 11:09pm on Tuesday 18 July, Cheshire Police received reports of a male driver driving erratically in his black Kia SUV.

Officers rushed to Pace Avenue, Willaston, to find the man had crashed his vehicle into a parked car.

Martin Egan blew nearly four times over the drink driving limit (Cheshire Police).

Luckily no one was hurt in the incident, with the 52-year-old later charged with the offence.

Egan has since been bailed and is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 15 August.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 11.09pm on Tuesday 18 July police were called to reports that a car had driven into a parked vehicle on Pace Avenue, Willaston.

"Officers attended and arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of drink driving.

Martin Egan has been bailed and is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 15 August (Ryan Parker).

"Martin Egan of Pace Avenue, Willaston, has since been charged with drink driving.

"He has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates Court on Tuesday 15 August."
