Local man arrested on suspicion of drug driving and theft of vehicle in Crewe

A local man has been released under investigation, after being arrested on suspicion of drug driving and theft of a motor vehicle in Crewe.
On Monday 20 October, Cheshire Police pulled over a black Volkswagen Passat on Badger Avenue.
At 2.45am, the driver was detained by officers, initially providing false details.
Checks showed the male wasn't the registered keeper of the Volkswagen - he also had no insurance policy.

The Crewe man was ordered to take a roadside drug test, which he failed, and was arrested for.
Officers recovered the Passat from the scene, with the investigation remaining ongoing.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 2.45am on Monday 20 October, officers stopped a black Volkswagen Passat on Badger Avenue, Crewe.
"The occupant of the car, a 25-year-old man from Crewe, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and theft of a motor vehicle.
"He has since been released under investigation."
