Local drink driver charged following collision by Crewe petrol station

A drink driver from Cheshire has been charged, following a serious collision at a busy junction in the town over the weekend.

On Saturday 16 November, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on Macon Way, at its junction with Tommy's Lane (by Esso and Tesco Express).

At around 7.55pm, officers arrived at the scene, discovering a black Mitsubishi Colt and a white Mitsubishi ASX3 had collied with each other.

Lukasz Wegrzynski, of Mill Lane, Hassall, has since been charged with drink driving (Hello Ness).

The driver of the Colt, a 41-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

Wegrzynski has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 4 December.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 7.55pm on Saturday 16 November, police were called to reports of a collision involving a black Mitsubishi Colt and a white Mitsubishi ASX3 on Macon Way, Crewe.

"Officers attended and arrested the driver of the Colt, a 41-year-old man.

Lukasz Wegrzynski has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 4 December (Cheshire Police).

"Lukasz Wegrzynski, of Mill Lane, Hassall, has since been charged with drink driving.

"He has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 4 December.
