On Sunday 12 October, a number of local businesses came together to organise a community clean-up of Crewe town centre's High Street.
With many of the organisations operating on or around High Street, they have been negatively impacted by instances of fly-tipping.
Turning a problem into an opportunity to come together, the businesses have held regular meetings to discuss how they can make their surroundings better.
Off the back of these conversations, the clean-up was born.
The group arranged for weeds outside of ABC Childcare Services to be sprayed with weedkiller and borrowed litter pickers and high-visibility clothing from other organisations.

Crewe and Nantwich MP, Connor Naismith, was then onboarded to give insight and support on tackling anti-social behaviour and town centre regeneration, and provide an extra pair of hands on the day of the clean-up.
Owner of Ice and Fire Studios, Meg Luan, said: "Ice and Fire Studios are so proud to be working alongside businesses that not only care about how their shop front looks but also how we as a street are represented.
"We are hoping the Clean Up will encourage everyone to keep our street looking the best it can and potentially stop a lot of the fly tipping that happens.
"Once the pathway between our street and the Lifestyle Centre is open, we hope High Street will become an important part of Crewe's rejuvenation."
Folliwing several delays, it is anticipated the Southern Gateway scheme, connecting High Street with Forge Street, will finally open this October.
Marketing Director of ABC Childcare Services, Carina Roos, said: "At ABC Childcare Services, community has always been at the heart of what we do.
"We're proud to join other local businesses in the Corner clean up initiative, held on Sunday 12 October.
"This is a project that reflects our shared commitment to creating a safer, cleaner, and more welcoming environment for everyone.

"We believe in leading by example and putting our values into action, and this initiative is a great opportunity for us all to come together, roll up our sleeves, and make our street the best it can be for the families and community we serve."
Following the success of Sunday's event, the group will continue meeting regularly to discuss similar initiatives to improve the town centre.
Mr Naismith said: "It's a credit to Crewe that we have so many people willing to give up their time and resources to make it a better place.
"Fly tipping is a huge problem, not just for businesses on High Street, but for the health and wellbeing of anyone passing by.
"The government is equipping Councils with the latest technology; things like the new mobile CCTV cameras and drones to seize vehicles that are involved in repeat offences and crush them.
"Hopefully through community-led actions like Sunday, we can build on a sense of pride in our town centre and discourage people from tearing that down.
"A huge thanks to the local businesses in Crewe for inviting me to be a part of the clean-up."
