Large Crewe business offers volunteers to help local primary school during half-term
Colleagues from a large Crewe based business have answered the call for volunteers to help at a local primary school - during the latest half-term holiday.
Device protection specialist, Likewize, located on Jack Mills Way - helped out volunteers at Pikemere Primary School, Alsager, last week (October).
With school budgets under ever increasing pressure, the team from Likewize spent three days at the school during half-term.
They helped with essential maintenance tasks including decorating classrooms and outdoor learning areas.
Pikemere caters for 240 children but, like other schools, is facing growing budget constraints.
Head Teacher Anthony Hughes said: "We had several maintenance tasks that needed to be completed which would have diverted funding away from other areas of the school.
"With Likewize so generously offering their colleague's time, it has benefitted the school by freeing up resources and funding and making sure our equipment lasts longer.
"Pikemere were delighted to be offered the support and can't thank Likewize enough."
Likewize is the world's fastest growing device protection company, providing insurance, trade-in, repair and support services on behalf of major brands.
Likewize employs over 700 staff in Crewe - from its three sites across the town.
The Crewe company was recently voted 'Best Insurance Provider' at the UK Mobile Industry Awards.
