Lidl GB has confirmed that its new supermarket on Mill Street, in Crewe, will open for the first time on Thursday 19th August.

The store opening times will be between 8am - 10pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am – 4pm on Sunday, delivering Lidl's offering of fresh, quality and great value produce.

During the first week of opening customers will be able to find exclusive deals and offers on selected products including a Slow Cooker 3.7L Crock-Pot (£9.99), a Sunrise simulation alarm clock (£9.99) and a Chicco Next2Me Side Sleeping Crib (£79.99) on Thursday 19th August.

Part of the company's ongoing £1.3bn expansion and regeneration plans across Great Britain for 2021 and 2022, the store will create up to 40 new jobs for the local community.

The new store will have a 1,325m² sales area and feature facilities an in-store bakery, customer toilets and ample parking for both cars and bicycles.

Lidl GB's Regional Head of Property, Dominic Bryan, commented: "We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing this first Lidl Store to Crewe, in particular Clowes Developments and the late Councillor Dorothy Flude whose support and dedication helped to deliver this development for the public.

"It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can't wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community."

It will form part of the new Dorothy Flude Retail Park alongside a drive-thru Costa Coffee outlet, which opened in May, and a B&M store with a garden centre, which opened last month.

As per the latest government guidance, while no longer legally required, it is recommended that those who can, continue to wear face coverings in crowded or indoor spaces, including when visiting our stores in England.

Across all Lidl stores, dedicated cleaning stations at entrances, hand sanitiser, and protective screens at checkouts will also remain in place.
