A Large UK footwear retailer has confirmed it will be relocating from its current location - into a former Crewe restaurant chain's unit.

Shoe Zone, Grand Junction Retail Park, will be relocating into the former Burger Priest restaurant unit - "next to" Costa Coffee.

This news comes after Shoe Zone confirmed to Nub News it was moving into another retail park store last month (May).

Last month (May), Shoe Zone confirmed to Nub News it was moving into another Grand Junction Retail Park store (Ryan Parker).

Since May 29, a sign has been displayed in the shop window confirming the imminent new location.

The sign reads: "We're on the move. Visit our new store next to Costa Coffee."

A date for this Shoe Zone relocation is yet to be confirmed but is expected this summer.

The former Bella Italia and Burger Priest units, Grand Junction Retail Park, currently have scaffolding placed around them - with workers currently on-site.

Burger Priest, formerly occupied by Chiquito, remained open for just over 12 months, from 2020 until the end of 2021.

Both units are being cleared out with Bella Italia's new occupier yet to be confirmed.

The Italian chain permanently closed its Crewe retail park restaurant in July 2020 - after Casual dining Group went into administration.

Once Shoe Zone relocates, a new retailer is set to come in and take over the unit.

In May, Cheshire East Planning approved an application for external alterations to the store.

This will see the installation of two new glazed sections to either side of the unit's main entrance doors.

A Cheshire East planning officer was satisfied with the proposals - believing they were 'acceptable.'

A statement read: "The proposed development is considered to be of an acceptable design that is appropriate for the functional need and the surrounding site.

Bella Italia's new occupier yet to be confirmed after permanently closing down in 2020 (Ryan Parker).

A decision for the proposed Tim Hortons drive-thru, located at the former Frankie & Benny's Grand Junction Retail Park site is also expected soon.
