Crewe residents and adventure seekers are being called to experience the magic of sunrise from the summit of Mount Snowdon, while supporting a vital cause.

My CWA (Cheshire Without Abuse), Brook Street, is inviting you to join their Snowdon at Sunrise Challenge on Sunday 29 September.

This offers residents a chance to climb Wales' tallest mountain, while raising funds for the charity's domestic abuse services.

The Snowdon at Sunrise Challenge is not only a stunning experience but also an opportunity to test your endurance, teamwork, and commitment to a worthy cause.

Whether you are an experienced hiker or a novice, this event is designed for everyone who wants to challenge themselves and make a difference.

Participants will take the Llanberis Path, a nine-mile round-trip ascent to 3,199 feet.

The climb is classified as medium difficulty and will take around six hours to complete.

Along the way, you will enjoy breathtaking views and, at the summit, witness the unforgettable sight of the sunrise illuminating the Welsh landscape.

  • Entry Fee: £35
  • Fundraising Pledge: £170 (to support My CWA's vital services)
  • Date & Time: Meet at 03:45 at Snowdon Mountain Railway Station, with the climb starting at 04:00
  • Age: 14+
  • Start/Finish: Snowdon Mountain Railway Station, Llanberis

Timings:

  • 03.45 – Meet the Sky Blue Adventures Team at Snowdon Mountain Railway Station
  • 04.00 – Begin the climb after a team briefing
  • 07.15 – Reach the summit and enjoy the panoramic views from the Summit Café
  • 07.45 – Start the descent
  • 10.30 – Arrive back in Llanberis and celebrate your achievement
