AT Nub News we want our job listings to help people in the local market find work during difficult times.

Our highlighted job this week might attract interest from a wider area, but it looks like a role that will be very important in reviving Crewe town centre.

Crewe Town Council are seeking an events and communications manager to help support the town's economic and social regeneration.

With lockdown restrictions easing council-run activities such as the Lumen Lights display, which were cancelled last year, are on the diary - and the authority needs someone with experience in supervising projects and an understanding of event management to deliver them.

The successful applicant will also have health and safety expertise, experience in budgetary management and community engagement, while they will be able to turn their hand to public relations too with a CV showing they can draft communications strategies.

The council says it is seeking "a proactive and capable professional with a drive for community involvement in sustainable events projects and the capability to plan, manage and deliver a calendar of engaging and exciting activities and events".

The ability to monitor outputs and work with funders and a range of stakeholders is a must.

Full-time, salary band £32,910 – £35,745. Based Crewe

For more information go to the council's website and for a job application pack email [email protected]

CVs are not being taken and the closing date is Friday, May 21.
