Investigation 'underway' after Cheshire Police cars involved in two Crewe collisions
An investigation is "underway" after two Cheshire Police cars were involved in two separate collisions in Crewe, taking place on the same street.
At 7:50pm on Wednesday 17 January, a police car collided with another vehicle when responding to an emergency on North Street, by Coppenhall bridge.
Five minutes later, a second police car, also responding to an emergency, was involved in a collision in the stationary traffic from the first accident.
This incident, involving three vehicles, also took place on North Street, outside The Horse Shoe pub.
North Street was closed while officers dealt with the incident, reopening at 11.45pm.
There were no reports of any injuries from either of the collisions.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 7.50pm on Wednesday 17 January, a police car responding to an emergency in Crewe was involved in a minor collision on North Street.
'The collision involved two vehicles, and there were no reports of any injuries.
'Then, at 7.55pm a second police car, also responding to an emergency, was involved in a minor collision in the stationary traffic on North Street from the first incident.
"The second collision involved three vehicles and there were also no reports of any injuries.
"The road was closed while officers dealt with the incident, it reopened at 11.45pm.
"An investigation into the collisions is underway."
