Horror after football goalpost defaced with swastika graffiti

Residents of a South Cheshire village have expressed their discontent after a swastika symbol was sprayed on a football goalpost.
On Wednesday 13 August, a Wrenbury resident was horrified to see the Nazi emblem daubed on the field at Wrenbury Recreation Club, Nantwich Road.
The Wrenbury resident took to social media, saying: "Sorry to have to post this but I feel that potentially some parents of the village may need to have a word with their children.
"I haven't walked around the football pitches for while, but this is what I found sprayed on the back of the posts.
"Perhaps education is key here and not punishment."
Some pointed out there was no evidence this was the work of children, with any age group to blame. Another also said the Aryan fascism symbol had been sprayed on a nearby path.
Another resident said: "That's all they could find to spray? Pathetic cowards, not even the courage of their convictions.
"They are to be pitied as well as educated on the meaning of the symbol."
Nub News has contacted Cheshire Police for comment.
