Heart art at Wistaston church to mark a year since first lockdown

By Gwyn Griffiths 27th Aug 2021

A WISTASTON church hall has mounted a heartfelt display to mark a year since the first lockdown was imposed.

'Hearts to Remember' at St. Mary's Church cites the psalm 1 John 4:18,

"Perfect love drives out fear", and has provided a colourful backdrop to the church hall.

The church says that a year on since the first Covid-19 lockdown it wants to remember those who have died from the virus and the key workers who have helped out, as well neighbours and families who have rallied around.

Anyone can add a heart to the display; they can colour it in and perhaps add a pattern.

The church says: "As you do this you might like to think of someone you want to say thank you for, someone who has supported you.

"Or colour a heart for someone you love but have lost during the year. We would like to fill the windows of St Mary's Church Hall with hearts as a sign of thanks and hope."

You can post your coloured hearts in the letterbox at St Mary's Church Hall or at the Rectory (104 Church Lane, Wistaston).
