A fundraising concert will be taking place at a Crewe town centre social club this week - in aid of the Bone Cancer Research Trust.

The concert for Georgy's fight will be held at The Crozzy, Chester Street - taking place this Friday (September 2).

This event will see a mixture of singing and comedy with all money raised going to the cancer research charity.

Doors will be open at the Crewe town centre venue to the public from 7pm.

There will be live performances from Andy Mac (vocalist, as seen on The X Factor), Becky D (vocalist), a comedy show with Carl Brent, and Fantastic 80's with Darren Collings.

Proceeds from the concert will go to the Bone Cancer Research Trust - the event being sponsored by Fusion People.

This is the leading charity dedicated to saving lives and fighting primary bone cancer through research, information, awareness and support.

The Crozzy was formerly the Crosville Social Club and received a full redecoration to bring the venue up to date prior to reopening on Friday 17 June this year.

The former Crosville Club, Chester Street, is under new management. It is now called - The Crozzy (Ryan Parker).

The Crewe town centre venue is now a dedicated event and function venue with three rooms that can be used for any event from gigs and tribute bands.

It holds up to 300 people and hosts birthday parties and almost anything in between.

Ryan, band & event promoter at The Crozzy, said: "We are pleased to be hosting what will be a fantastic evening of varied entertainment for a great cause."

The venue was renamed 'The Crozzy' - the name it was always referred to in the past.

Since a new management takeover, The Crozzy, has had a full redecoration to bring the venue up to date.

More events coming up at The Crozzy:

  • Saturday 17 September – 'Dizzy Lizzy', a tribute to Thin Lizzy. Tickets = £13 in advance.
  • Saturday 1 October – 'Rockageddon' class rock night. Tickets = £5 (before 9pm), £6 (after 9pm).
  • Friday 7 October – Oasis tribute night with 'Whatever Oasis', plus support. Tickets = £12.
