Crewe Alex assistant manager, Ryan Dicker, says the club are assessing a free agent currently training with the squad (Crewe Alex).

"We will see how things develop over the next couple of weeks and where it goes.

"We are working on it but any new player has to be right for the team on and off the pitch - the right character and personality.

"We have to be confident in what they will add to the group we've already got. We have to think about how long they have been out for, is it due to injuries?

"And we also have to consider our finances. We have to balance things across the board and make sure it's the right fit for everybody."
