Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a serious crash near Crewe, leaving five people with potentially "life-changing injuries."

At 2.32pm on Thursday 27 August, emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to an incident on Main Road, Weston, near The White Lion pub.

Police attended and found the crash involved two cars, a black Ford KA and a grey Citroen Berlingo, near to the junction of Snape Lane.

The five occupants of the two vehicles sustained potentially life-changing injuries in the collision and were all taken to hospital, where they remain at this time.

Detective Sergeant Russ Sime, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "As we establish the full circumstances of this incident, we would like to urge anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police to get in touch with us.

"The same goes for anyone who may have been in the area at the time and has any dashcam footage.
