Firefighters tackle serious 'electrical' blaze at Crewe home
Fire crews tackled a serious blaze at a terraced house in Crewe, believed to have been caused by an "electrical fault."
On Wednesday 13 December, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of an incident on Firwood Walk.
At 4:43pm, two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the scene, discovering a blaze on the ground floor of an end of terraced property.
Crews put out the fire using a dry powder extinguisher, a hose reel and a high pressure fan.
Firefighters deemed the blaze was caused by an electrical fault inside the property.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A fire on the ground floor of an end of terraced property is suspected to have been caused by an electrical fault.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a dry powder extinguisher, a hose reel and a high pressure fan to put out the fire."
