Firefighters rush to serious terraced house blaze close to Crewe town centre

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a serious terraced house blaze - located close to Crewe town centre.
The incident on Newdigate Street, happened at 12:58pm on Tuesday 23 May - in a family home of two young children and a small dog.
Two fire engines from Crewe quickly arrived at the scene - assessing the situation.
On arrival, everyone inside the family home were accounted for - with crews using hose reels to put out the flames.
Crewe firefighters put up a cordon for safety and checked the loft spaces of nearby properties as a precaution.
An investigation into the cause of the terraced house fire is now taking place.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a fire in a terraced house in Crewe.
"On arrival everyone was accounted for and crews used hose reels to damp down the fire.
"A cordon was set up for safety and the loft space of nearby properties were checked as a precaution.
"An investigation to establish the cause will take place."
