Firefighters rush to house fire in Crewe started by toaster
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a house fire in Crewe - started from a toaster.
The incident on Hotspur Road, on the Alexandra Gardens development, off Sydney Road - happened at 4:09pm on Wednesday (December 7).
Two fire engines from Crewe quickly arrived at the scene - assessing the situation.
The small fire was already out when they arrived - but there were large amounts of smoke.
Crewe firefighters used a large fan to remove the smoke.
They then fitted smoke alarms and activated them inside the property.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a small fire involving a toaster, that was out on their arrival, but had caused smoke in a property.
"The crew used a large fan to remove the smoke.
"Smoke alarms were fitted and activated."
