Firefighters rush to domestic garage blaze in Coppenhall area of Crewe
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service tackled a domestic garage fire in the Coppenhall area of Crewe - believed to have been started deliberately.
The incident on Middlewich Street, close to Lime Tree Avenue - happened at 2:35pm on Saturday (November 5).
Two fire engines from Crewe quickly arrived at the scene - putting out the garage blaze.
The domestic garage was detached from properties.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel water jet to put out a fire inside a detached domestic garage."
The local fire service were busy over bonfire weekend - dealing with serious incidents across Cheshire.
On Friday (November 4), Crewe firefighters were called to a bin fire on Bradeley Road, Haslington.
One fire engine attended the incident, which happened at 11:24am.
The fire started by hot ashes being disposed of in a bin.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A wheelie bin on fire at a property in Haslington was extinguished by firefighters who used a hose reel.
"It is believed the fire was caused by hot ashes being disposed of in the bin.
"Please follow our wheelie bin safety advice to prevent a fire like this occuring."
