Firefighters remove tumble dryer from Crewe home after appliance ignites

Firefighters removed a tumble dryer from a Crewe home last night (Tuesday 26 May), after the appliance ignited inside the property.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to an incident on Gresty Road, close to Crewe Alexandra FC.
At 7.31pm, two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the scene.
Crewe firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the flames.
No one was injured in the incident, with the appliance safely taken out.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a fire in a tumble dryer.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, and removed the appliance from the property."
