Firefighters cut motorist from car after Weston crash

A MOTORIST needed to be cut out of her car after a collision in Weston.

Firefighters used electronic cutting equipment to remove the door from the vehicle so the woman could be released following the road traffic accident on Main Road yesterday morning.

She was travelling in a Toyota Yaris that was in collision with a Land Rover Range Rover.

She and another woman, who was also in the Yaris at the time, were passed into the care of paramedics.

Cheshire Police said the women were injured but their injuries were not life-threatening.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "There were no reports of any serious injuries, although one person was physically trapped in a car."

Two fire engines from Crewe and paramedics attended just after 10am.

Crews were at the scene for around 50 minutes.
