Fire officers douse blaze in empty bungalow at Weston

By Gwyn Griffiths 27th Aug 2021

FIREFIGHTERS put out a blaze in an empty bungalow in Weston this morning (Monday).

Two fire engines from Crewe and one from Nantwich attended the property at Ferndale Close, Weston.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to put out the fire and a large fan to disperse smoke.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: "No-one was in the property. Firefighters checked neighbouring properties for fire spread using a thermal imaging camera."

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
