FIRE crews spent more than four hours putting out a blaze at a Wistaston property last night.

Four engines, from Crewe, attended a building on Broughton Lane where are a fire had broken out in an electrical room.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet and two dry powder extinguishers to put out the fire.

The electricity supply to the property was isolated and the crews damped down and cut away affected areas.

The crews were called out just before 9pm and were in attendance for four hours and 45 minutes, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
