Fire crews respond to major incident near Bentley Motors in Crewe

Fire crews responded to a huge blaze near Bentley Motors in Crewe, with a number of sheds and trees on fire.
On Friday 19 September, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a major incident on farmland off Middlewich Road, across from Bentley Motors.
At 7.51pm, fire engines from Crewe, Nantwich, Middlewich, Sandbach and Alsager arrived at the scene.
Firefighters remained at the scene until 11.30pm, dampening down the area.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Just before 8pm, North West Fire Control received a number of calls to reports of a fire in the open on Middlewich Road.
"On arrival, they found a fire involving a number of sheds, hedgerows and trees.
"The incident was split into sectors with crews making good progress.
"Six firefighters used breathing apparatus, four hose reels and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
"They remained at the scene until 11.30pm dampening down the area."
