Fire crews called to chimney blaze in Crewe
Fire crews rushed to tackle a chimney blaze at a residential property in Crewe, on a busy road in the town.
On Tuesday 7 January, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of an incident on Bradfield Road.
At 5.31pm, two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the scene, discovering flames coming from a chimney.
Crewe firefighters used a hose reel and specialist chimney rods to extinguish the flames.
No one was hurt in the incident, with firefighters inspecting the loft area and ensuring all flames inside the chimney flue were put out.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a fire involving a chimney.
"They used a hose reel and specialist chimney rods to extinguish the fire.
"A thermal imaging camera was used to inspect the loft area and to also ensure the fire inside the cavity had been fully extinguished."
