The closure came after parent company of Brewers Fayre, Premier Inn and Beefeater, Whitbread Inns, carried out a review of all UK sites.

After settling in as a Premier Inn restaurant for hotel-guests only, the hotel chain has now reopened it to the public for walk-ins (Premier Inn).

Following this review, it has confirmed 112 "lower-returning" restaurants will be converted into hotel extensions, including Crewe.
