Emergency services rush to Crewe resident who 'got their hand stuck' in lawnmower

Emergency services rushed to a Crewe resident who 'got their hand stuck' in a lawnmower - freeing them and taking them to hospital.

The incident in the garden of a property on Clay Lane, Haslington, close to Lakemore Farm, happened around 1:16pm on Saturday 11 March.

One fire engine from Crewe quickly arrived at the scene - along with North West Ambulance Service paramedics.

Crewe firefighters used an impact driver and cutters to dismantle the mower.

They freed the person's hand from the device - passing them into the care of paramedics.

The local resident was taken to Leighton Hospital to be treated.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to reports of a person who had got their hand stuck in a lawnmower in Haslington.

Crewe firefighters used an impact driver and cutters to dismantle the mower - freeing the person's hand from the device (Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service).

"The crew used an impact driver and cutters to dismantle the mower and free the person's hand before passing them into the care of paramedics."
