Emergency services deployed to Crewe street following Audi arson attack
A police investigation is ongoing after emergency services were deployed to a residential street in Crewe, following an arson attack on an Audi.
On Monday 8 April, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a car blaze on Halton Drive.
Just before 2:55am, one fire engine from Crewe arrived at the scene, finding a black Audi in flames.
The crew used a hose reel jet to put out the blaze, mainly affecting the rear of the car.
Believing the vehicle fire was deliberate, firefighters called Cheshire Police to the scene.
Officers discovered a house window had also been smashed.
Inspector Cliff Goodwin of Crewe Local Policing Unit, said: "This investigation is in the early stages and we're doing everything that we can to establish what took place.
"Therefore, we're urging anyone was in the area at the time and thinks they may have seen anything suspicious to get in touch.
"The same goes for anyone with any dash cam or CCTV footage which may aid our investigation.
"Anyone with any information should contact us on our website, quoting IML-1795456."
