Groundsperson/ Keeper - Everybody Sport & Recreation - Cumberland Arena
Hours: Casual (one day per week)
Working outside, as a Groundsperson, you'll keep the infield natural turf cut and the 3G pitches brushed and in pristine condition, as well as line marking and keeping everywhere tidy, safe and accessible so all our facility users can enjoy the areas.
To be a Groundsperson you'll need experience in using multitool tractor operations and industrial grass cutting and mulching machinery, and a good understanding of sports pitch requirements – for both FA and Athletics.
Some of the Groundsperson role involves working as part of a team, but you will also need to be able to work independently on your own and to be a key holder available to open and close facilities as required.
Our wonderful outdoor sport & athletics facility - the Cumberland Arena - is booming. Used by local clubs such as Crewe FC, Crewe Town FC and Crewe, and Nantwich Athletics club it truly is a sporting hub for the local & wider community.
And if that's not already exciting enough, more investment & development is coming to the site later in 2022 as part of a multi-million pound investment project across Crewe.
