Drunk man arrested for causing criminal damage in Crewe 'disturbance'

A man from Crewe has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage while drunk, following an incident in the town.

On Thursday 21 March, officers received reports of a disturbance at a property on Badger Avenue.

During the evening, officers arrived at the scene, discovering an internal house door and nearby car windscreen had been smashed.

An internal house door and nearby car windscreen was damaged in Crewe (Cheshire Police).

Police swiftly located and detained an "intoxicated" male suspect.

The man, 28, was arrested, and currently remains in police custody.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "On Thursday 21 March, we received a report of a male at an address near Badger Avenue, causing a disturbance and possible ongoing criminal damage.

"Crewe Response Team were deployed and a male suspect was located and detained.

A 28-year-old man from Crewe was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage. He remains in police custody (Cheshire Police).

"The intoxicated male was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage, after officers found damage to an internal door at the property, and damage to a vehicle windscreen nearby.

"The male, 28, from Crewe, remains in police custody."
