Driver escapes punishment after crashing into parked car in Crewe

A driver escaped punishment after crashing into a parked car in Crewe, with Cheshire Police called to the scene.

On Christmas Eve, officers received reports of an incident on Alton Street, between the junctions of Walthall Street and Flag Lane.

Around 8.45pm, a vehicle hit a parked car on the residential street, with the driver leaving the scene.

Police later traced the man, with no arrests made. No injuries were reported in the crash.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News; "At around 8.45pm on Wednesday 24 December, police were called to reports of a collision on Alton Street, Crewe, in which a car had collided with a parked car and the driver had left the scene.

"There were no reports of any injuries.

"The driver of the vehicle was later traced."
