A local man has been charged after refusing to provide a breath test following a drink driving incident in Crewe.

On Friday 31 May, Cheshire Police pulled over a vehicle being driven under the influence of alcohol on West Street.

Alexander Michael Smith, 30, from Wistaston, was arrested after failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

Alexander Michael Smith, 30, has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 8 July (Nub News).

The Crewe man has since been charged with the offence.

Smith has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 8 July.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Alexander Michael Smith, 30, was arrested on Friday 31 May.

"Smith, of Wistaston, has since been charged with fail to provide a specimen for analysis. He has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 08 July.

"The charge relates to an incident that occurred on West Street, Crewe, on Friday 31 May."
