A man wanted for failing to appear in court has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police, drug driving and driving while disqualified in Crewe.

On Monday 23 June, Cheshire Police spotted a blue Mazda on Mill Street, requesting it to stop.

At 9.30am, the driver ignored police's request, attempting to flee the scene from officers.

Following a 1.5-mile pursuit from Mill Street, the male driver was stopped off Crewe Green Roundabout (pictured), and arrested (Nub News).

A Cheshire Police spokesperon told Nub News: "At 9.30am on Monday 23 June, police attempted to stop a blue Mazda on Mill Street.

"The driver failed to stop and made off from the scene.

The 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police, drug driving and driving while disqualified in Crewe (Cheshire Police).

"Police followed the vehicle, and following a pursuit the car was stopped on Beswick Drive, off Crewe Green Roundabout.

"The driver of the car, a 30-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police, drug driving, driving whilst disqualified and failing to appear in court."
