Cheshire Police detectives are urgently appealing for information - after a delivery driver's van was stolen by 'unknown' armed robber whilst working in Crewe.
At around 3.15pm on Sunday 5 March, a delivery driver parked his white Ford transit van on Claughton Avenue, to deliver a parcel to a nearby address.
As he returned to his vehicle he was approached by an 'unknown man' who threatened him with a knife and demanded that he handed over his keys to his van.
The victim complied with the offender, who then drove off from the scene in the stolen van.
It is believed that the vehicle may have been in convoy with a second white transit van.
The stolen Ford transit van was subsequently recovered parked at a car park on Merebrook Walk.
The suspect is described as a white man, around 25 to 30 years old, of slim build, around 5' 11" tall, with blonde hair and a long blonde beard.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing black trousers, a black jacket and a black woollen hat.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information that may aid the investigation.
Detective Constable Thomas Towe, who is leading the investigation, said: "This investigation is in its early stages and we're keen to hear from anyone who was in the Claughton Avenue area at the time of the incident and may have witnessed anything suspicious.
"The same goes for anyone who thinks they may have seen the vehicle being dumped in the Merebrook Walk area.
"We're particularly keen to hear from anyone with any dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident.
"We're also aware that a number of residents now have ring doorbells, so please, if you live in the Cloughton Avenue or Merebrook Walk area, review it to see if anything has been captured that may aid our investigation."
Anyone with information or video footage that may help the ongoing investigation should contact Cheshire Police on 101, or via its website, quoting IML 1492137.
Information can also be reported anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
