Crucial roads in Crewe are closed every night until Sunday morning, allowing Cheshire East Highways to carry out scrim works.
Nantwich Road/Crewe Road, between Gresty Road and Springfield Drive, is closed between 7pm and 6am until Sunday 15 September.
The scrim works began from 7pm on Wednesday 11 September, with the 1.8 mile stretch of highway being done.
Vehicular access is being maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.
Pedestrian access is being maintained at all times. Cyclists are required to dismount in order for access to be maintained.
The scrim works help measure the wet skidding resistance of a road surface, allowing for reduced accident rates.
This machine uses the sideway force principle to measure skid resistance.
If you have any enquires relating to these works, please contact Cheshire East Highways on 0300 123 5020.
