Queens Park's fireworks spectacular 2024 is scheduled to go ahead on Tuesday 5 November, with its popular bonfire also confirmed following its return last year.

The 2023 Crewe Lions Club fireworks and bonfire display attracted thousands of visitors from the local area.

Lions volunteers expect people to be out in force at Queens Park once again in 2024 for fireworks, bonfire and funfair.

Gates open at 5pm, with admission £7 for adults and £5 for children and students. All proceeds go to local charities (Ryan Parker).

There will be a big funfair with a large variety of food and drink stalls. Visitors are encouraged to wear wellies and to bring a torch.

Crewe Lions Club told Nub News: "Gates open at 5pm, with the bonfire lit around 7pm. The fireworks are set off around 8pm, depending on people waiting at the gates.

"We can't give specifics on timing as it is all due to the weather. Wind and fog are our dreaded nightmare.

"Blitz Fireworks control the timings all in line with our safety requirements.

"We are looking forward to a bigger and better event this year and can't wait to see everyone coming to the event.

"Money raised helps our local community groups and individuals. It also assists with providing basics for people in war torn countries, as well as those affected by natural disasters."

Free car parking for the event is available at Tipkinder Park and Simply Gym.
