QUEENS Park Golf Club is opening up its tees again as grassroots sports emerges from lockdown restrictions tomorrow.
The nine-hole course has been taking bookings from members since last Monday.
The golf course, which is run by RM Estates on behalf of the Ian Woosnam Golf Academy, has been closed since December when tier rules were imposed. But it will join other local outdoor grassroots sports venues in being able to reopen on Monday, March 29 as part of the government's roadmap out of lockdown.
Organised outdoor sports can also resume action and local amateur leagues have already drafted up fixtures - teams in the Crewe Regional Sunday League kick off again on Sunday, April 4.
The Cheshire League has also opted for a return to action rather than null and voiding the season.
Football leagues below step 6 were given the option to extend their seasons until June by the FA, but instead of attempting to fulfil the large backlog of games, the league has arranged a Champions League-style cup competition to conclude the current campaign.
That sees Crewe FC playing their first game in four months when they host Daten at the Cumberland Arena next Saturday (April 3).
Local tennis clubs reopening include Hightown Tennis Club and Wistaston Jubilee Tennis Club.
From tomorrow you will be able to meet outside in groups of up to six as the stay-at-home ruling comes to an end. But the government is still urging people to stay local as much as possible.
Weddings can also take place, but with a limit of six people in attendance.
