Crewe woman charged with drink driving following serious collision at junction

A Crewe woman has been charged with drink driving and is set to appear in court this May - following a serious collision at a junction within the town.

Stephanie Wood was arrested on Friday 14 April, following reports of a collision at 7:30am on Victoria Avenue - at its junction with Queens Park Drive.

The collision involved a silver Ford Fiesta and a blue Vauxhall Corsa - with Wood driving the Ford Fiesta.

The 35-year-old of Swinburne Drive was arrested by Cheshire Police officers at the scene and was subsequently charged with drink driving.

Wood has since been released on unconditional bail.

The Crewe resident will appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court for sentencing on Thursday 4 May.
