Crewe university to relocate all teaching activities to Buckingham
Crewe's university has made the strategic decision to relocate all teaching activities and educational provision based at the campus, to The University of Buckingham.
Apollo Buckingham, Crewe Green Road, is an Indian medical sciences campus and a North West site for The University of Buckingham.
Its Crewe Campus launched at the former MMU site in September 2019, teaching a range of health programmes.
A phased exit plan of teaching will be implemented gradually over the next three years, with full completion expected by the end of 2026.
Vice-chancellor for The University of Buckingham, professor James Tooley, told Nub News: "The University is committed to delivering a high-quality educational experience for our students.
"By concentrating our efforts on Buckingham, we aim to create a more cohesive and enriching learning environment.
"This strategic focus enables us to better allocate resources, facilities and faculty expertise, ultimately providing the best possible experience for our students.
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who have played such a crucial role in the development of our Crewe Campus in recent years.
"While we are relocating elements of our teaching back to Buckingham, it is important to note that our Phase two clinical placements will be unaffected.
"We will continue to build on our excellent relationships with local NHS Trusts and education providers in Crewe and surrounds and they will continue to play a pivotal role in our medical students' clinical placements."
